Google URL Shortener

After Tinyurl, Bit.ly and more, here come Goo.gl : Google URL shortener. Why there's one?

Google needed a url shortener for its own products where we knew the shortener wouldn’t go away.

source : Mat Cutts' Blog

Also, he stated that:

The main feature is that you can use goo.gl just by going to the web page. But if you go to http://goo.gl and login with your Google account, you’ll get analytics and history features for the urls you’ve shortened.

I also give it a try. Initially, marketingadvertise.blogspot.com will be goo.gl/8j3G. In someway, it's weird for the 'goo' part...

Anyway, if you would like to try or use it, just visit the site:

Google Got TV

Introducing, Google TV!

allow consumers to "search and watch an expanded universe of content available from a variety of sources including TV providers, the Web, their personal content libraries, and mobile applications"

as qouted in itvt

It's like Internet+TV. We get even search for particular content that we want. Plus, we can watch it in our living room.

Lets be optimistic and see the bright side, shall we?

Google Fonts API

Not really a new news but I just figure out Google Fonts API (rather late bloomer am I?) I found this in one of the tech blog, so I made a visit.

It does got me interested to find out for me. Check the Google font directory.

Just look over the list click on the font that you like and Get The Code.

You only need to place the code in your site and link the fonts via CSS. Easy as a pie.

Happy trying!

Bing Vs Google

The search engine from Microsoft, Bing seems to take place (or take space~~~) in most people's browser these days. I also have Bing in my Internet Explorer. It's pre-installed when I send my computer to be formatted at the shop. So I've tried it.

Some says, Bing is going to take over Google search soon. Really? For me, I still prefer Google search (no offense to Bing's fans) It's easier to use Google and we have been brainwashed by the fact, Google offers more.

Bing may become big in the future but for now, it can't compete with Google yet.

Chrome : New Browser From Google

Google has released a beta version of Chrome, a new browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. It's now available to download (for free of course)

So why did they released a browser, according to them it's because "we believe we can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web" (quoted from Official Google Blog)

It kind of a start-up page (sort of) Chrome is compatible with Windows Vista/XP, not sure about other Windows version, I can't check it.

To find out more, it's better if you download it yourself. However, I need to remind you it's a beta version. Don't get your hope to high, it's still growing up. Like Google said, it's far from done.

Click to download.
